Thin Brick Around the Home

We know brick as a common home building material for indoors, but did you know thin brick is an affordable alternative to flooring, wall coverings and tile? For a rustic, farmhouse or even classic look, brick can be painted, smeared or left natural for a great accent.

Consider the versatile look of fireplaces where brick can be laid staggered for a classic look, straight for a modern look, or in a pattern like chevron for a fun, eclectic accent. Paint it white, do a german schmear or leave it natural depending on your preference for color palette.

Brick is also a great alternative for flooring in small spaces where the color and texture contrast can be a great design element.

Brick can also be laid onto accent walls to tie in other brick pieces or give the home a rustic, sometimes industrial vibe.

Brick flooring has become extremely popular in recent years thanks to thin brick, which allows the bricks to be laid without having to elevate the entrances to a room. Durable and stylish, it makes for a great floor.

One of the places we’re finding brick a lot is in the laundry, both as a floor and a backsplash. It’s a small space where messes are common and you’re not worried about it being cold on your feet. White washed brick gives it a more modern feel and fits in well with any home style.

Brick is also a great backsplash! Rustic and cozy, brick gives modern homes made with sheetrock a true solid feel.
